Court ordered parent education seminar: Parenting Through Separation and Divorce This course meets the requirements set
forth in the Code of Virginia. Designed specifically for co-parents in
conflict situations where child custody, support, and/or visitation are being contested, but open
to anyone interested. 2 sessions, 2 hours each. You must attend both sessions. |

Building a Relationship with
your Child
Designed for non-custodial parents, open to anyone interested.
1 session, 2 hours

Systematic Training for
Effective Parenting
Basic parenting skills, open to anyone.
7 sessions, 2 hours each.
¨ In home parent
coaching. This service grew out of parents asking for support in implementing skills
learned in classes. It is an intensive,
short-term service, which focuses on building communication skills among family
members and strengthening relationships.
In-home coaching often includes:
observations of the family, facilitation of family meetings, and
modeling and role playing of appropriate approaches. Fees are calculated on an hourly basis plus
travel.
